Common Questions

Everything You Need to Know
Before You Call

How much does an electric fence cost in Kenya?+
Electric fence installation costs in Kenya vary by fence type: Top wall fence with razor wire: KES 1,050–1,250/m. Solar farm fence: KES 1,600–1,800/m. Free-standing: KES 2,200–2,400/m. A standard Nairobi 50×100 plot (100m perimeter) costs approximately KES 105,000–125,000 for a top wall fence, fully installed. Use the calculator above for your exact estimate.
What is included in the quoted price?+
Every installation quotation includes: energizer (Nemtek, JVA or Stafix), fence wire, W-post brackets or steel posts, UV insulators, copper-clad earth rods, lightning diverter, KEBS warning signs, gate handles, all cabling, concrete foundation works, professional installation, commissioning and a 12-month workmanship warranty. There are no hidden charges — what is quoted is what is billed.
How long does electric fence installation take in Kenya?+
A standard 50×100 residential plot takes 3 days. Larger properties (500m+) take 20–30 days. Farm installations can take 20 days to 20 weeks depending on perimeter length, terrain, and number of strands. We always confirm a timeline during the free site assessment.
Does the fence work during KPLC power cuts?+
Yes. Every system includes battery backup as standard — the fence stays live automatically when KPLC cuts out. The standard backup provides 4–8 hours of operation. Upgrade to full solar power for the fence (+KES 55,000) for 100% grid independence.
Do you install in all counties in Kenya?+
Yes — we cover all 47 Kenyan counties. Nairobi and Kiambu are at no transport cost. Upcountry transport is calculated based on distance and included in your estimate above. We regularly install in Mombasa, Nakuru, Kisumu, Nanyuki, Eldoret, Nyeri, Laikipia, Thika and remote farm locations.
How accurate is this instant quote?+
This estimate puts you within ±10–20% of the final installed price. The final price is confirmed after a free site visit where our engineer measures the exact perimeter, assesses terrain and wall condition, identifies the best energizer placement, and accounts for any site-specific factors. The site assessment is free with no obligation to proceed.
