It delivers 8 Joules, has 24-hour battery backup for power outages, built-in lightning protection, armed response radio output, siren and strobe outputs, and supports an optional LCD or touch keypad for programmable arming and disarming. It covers fence runs up to 2km — more than sufficient for any residential property. For larger properties or those needing two independent zones, the Z28 (KES 78,000) is the step up.
Yes — two approaches. For plug-and-play solar with no external hardware, the SV5 (KES 32,000) or SV10 (KES 46,000) have the solar panel and battery already built in — just slide onto a Y-stake and switch on. Distant Fault Detection™ (DFD) is JVA's patented technology in the JMB JUMBO that locates fence faults remotely without anyone physically walking the perimeter. When a fault occurs (broken wire, vegetation short, low voltage section), DFD reports approximately where along the fence the problem is. For a conservancy with a 50km perimeter, a normal fault-finding process can take an entire day of walking. With DFD, rangers drive directly to the affected section within minutes.
